Bodegas Felix Sanz

Bodegas Felix Sanz produces Casa Verde from vineyards based in Rueda DO, a fantastic area for producing white wines in Castilla Leon Central Spain.

Grapes Grown : Verdejo, Sauvignon Blanc, Viura.

The Bodega is the result of the collaboration of Félix Javier Llanos Bayón and Antonio Sanz. The property has been in the hands of the Bayon family for many years and together they have modernized the operation completely, replanting the vineyards in 1997 and rebuilding the cellars in 1999. The resulting facility has capacity to make 400,000 litres of wine, all with ultra-modern equipment to make wines to preserve crisp, aromatic fruit flavours that are the hallmark of Rueda wines.

The area of Rueda is in the Duero Valley to the south west of Ribera Del Duero where altitude and cool night-time conditions lead to ideal conditions for making complex, aromatic wines. Winemaker, Esther Fernández makes great use of these conditions to create fresh, vibrant and concentrated wine in Vina CasaVerde.
