Mr Bee's Active Manuka Honey
Mr. Bees Active Manuka Honey is imported by Sue Wardell directly from New Zealand where beehives are situated in very remote native bush where the environment is pollution free. The honey is unprocessed and unblended pure Manuka honey.
Manuka honey is made by bees that collect pollen from the native Manuka bush (Leptospermum Scorparian ) in New Zealand.
"Manuka" is the indigenous peoples, the Maoris name for the tree. The well-known Tea-Tree oil also comes from manuka. It grows in abundance in the pollution-free environment of the native bush.
Manuka Honey demonstrates a high level of anti- bacterial activity, which varies in its strength. Active 5+ has the lowest level of anti bacterial activity and is beneficial for maintaining every day health. The higher factors of 15+ are useful for conditions such as gum disease, chest infections, and sore throats and even in the treatment of MRSA.
Apart from a health aspect it is delicious to eat. Unlike a lot of honeys Mr Bee's "Active" Manuka Honey is pure and unblended. It has a rich and unique taste. Uses include salads and vegetable dressings, refreshing drink with lemon or lime or just on a slice of fresh bread.
