Market update for the 22nd December 2010

We decided that we had better do a quick update for customers on who we are expecting to be at the market tomorrow - due to weather conditions, this will be subject to last minute changes, so please check the website before you travel and see the most up to date situation under our news area...

Stallholders due:

Jim Ryan (who is planning on being here from 9.30ish for any early pick-ups) will have lots of hams, spiced beef, lamb and all the usual fare, as well as pre-ordered turkeys.

Both vegetable stalls - Dublin Meath Growers and The Spud Man will be here.

The Pantry will be open, with lots of cheeses available, and a limited milk supply. Lots of wine available tho! Planning on making some Smoked Mackerel Pate (and chicken liver pate if Jim Ryan remembers to bring the chicken livers); and a few other goodies as well! We are making some carrot cakes today, and other 'treats' but only a limited number.

The Cafe will be operating on a limited basis, serving teas/coffees,  some baked goods and a hearty all in one  beef stew! Open from 12 til 5pm, only coffees/teas available after that.

Gannet Fishmongers are planning to travel with lots of fresh fish and will be here from 12 til 6pm (long trek back to Galway for them!)

Blazing Salads are due to attend

Clare from Puddleduck is planning on being here, for your last minute relishes, and gift ideas

Dominic from Gleann Gabhar is due with goats milk, cheese and fudge.

Pascale from Phoenix Delites will be here.

The Real Olive Company have confirmed that they will be here

So, all in all, a pretty good turnout expected from our stallholders! At the moment, the roads and footpaths have lots of snow on them, but are quite passable - so we'll update you in the morning on conditions, on the website.
