Market quick news 29 march 2012

We are just back from a wine fair held near here in Verona, so this week's news is short and to the point!

Craft Fair at the market this Sat
We will have a small number of craft stalls, including jewelry from Aoife, wood-crafts from Martin, and a range of handcrafts from Maria & Sinead, and Winnie's Woolwagon will be outside braving the elements!

Stallholder news:

All stalls due this Saturday.

Taking orders for Easter this weekend, so let us know what you want next Saturday (Easter Saturday)

We have a new Stall starting in the Cafe area, where Alicia will be serving her Spanish Tapas. As we have already been serving her authentic Spanish tortillas at the cafe for the last few weeks, we expect the rest of her fare to be just as good!

We will also have Ice-Cream tasting from Burke's Farm Ice-Cream, whose products are available for sale at the Cafe every week. Always a sign of summer when ice-cream tastings begin!

At the Pantry, we've just taken delivery of a new batch of lovely smoked fish from Ballyconnelly (I just had some of the peppered mackerel for lunch, and it was so tasty and full of goodness). Due to being away in Italy, we wont have pate this Saturday and only a small batch of granola.

Cafe fare - carrot, lemon and leek soup, and the hot dish will be Thai Chicken

And last but not least - we have two charity draws at the market for Easter - one for the Irish Motor Neuron Disease and the other for the Niall Mellon Trust, with lovely Easter Eggs as prizes. Please support them if you can at all - both really worthy causes.
