Market newsletter 5th July 2012

Not a very usual style photo for the newsletter, but for those of you who often ask about Jordan & Cassandra, here they are after getting hitched last Tuesday! We wish them all the best for a long and happy life together - wherever that may be!

Dont forget that on Saturday at the cafe  1.30 -  Linda, our nutritional therapist will be giving a talk on

'How to Improve your health in 5 simple steps'

Linda, who is a qualified Nutritional Therapist (Dip NT) will give a short talk on things that we can all do to help us gain improved health and wellbeing. This event is free of charge.

Then on the 14th of July, we will have our summer Craft Day at the Cafe, where local artisan craftspeople will have their lovely products for sale.

And we have also added another event to our calendar - this one on a Wednesday (18th of July) when we will have the first market #tweetup at 2pm. You dont have to be on Twitter to join us for the afternoon, where we will be running a Taste Treasure Trail at the market, and lots more!

Stallholder news:

William from Sheaffoods Healthy Granola wont be with us on Saturday and neither will Sarah Jane with her Old Tarts xx Stall. All other stalls are due to be at the market on Sat.

Sinead from the Market Sausage Co, will be back with us, and her sausage flavours this week are chilli & cracked black pepper sausage and carmelised onion sausages. Both are available with creamy mash and onion gravy, or as a roll with a variety of toppings.

Breanndan is doing a pizza 'Spring Street Special' with The Whole Hoggs tomato & basil Sausage, smoked sundried tomatoes from the Real Olive Co and roasted red peppers

Nicola from the Big Red Kitchen will have some local raw honey (Co Louth) with her on Saturday...

Sticky Fingers Bakery will have Chocolate Cake, Ginger Cake and Cupcakes on Saturday - and remember all their produce is gluten free so everyone can enjoy the same desserts!

Our wine of the week this week is a rose (well it is summer!) from Rive Haut 2010:

Was €10.00 Now an amazing €7.99
Fresh, lively red summer fruit with crisp acidity. Perfect as a aperitif or to serve with light summer salad.

In the cafe we will have more of the Bahn Mi and a lightly spiced Fish Curry, as well as a smoked chicken Caesar Salad. A glass of the Rive Haut Rose would go down really well with these!

Hope to see you on Saturday!
Brid & all the team at Honest2Goodness
