We still have a few places available for our

Food & Wine Showcase  evening next week

(taking place on the 8th from 7.45). We are really looking forward to the evening, where we will be sharing some of our market foods and matching wines with guests. Anyone who has already booked to attend, and anyone who books before Tuesday of next week will be entered into a draw to win 3 free places at the event (winner notified on the evening of the 6th). So, talk to us on Saturday at the Pantry, Wine Stall or Cafe to find out more!

This week's Market news

We've got lots happening at the market this weekend, with some stall changes taking place. Last Saturday was Old Tarts xx last day for the next while, we are sorry to see Sarah-Jane leave us, and we hope that she will be able to rejoin us at some point in the future. Meantime, there is plenty to satisfy the sweet-toothed among you, with Therese at Sticky Fingers and Katie at the Wild Flour Bakery. We will also have KatePops back this Saturday for her occasional visits to us, so let there be no panic!




A couple of other stalls will be missing on Saturday. Sheafoods Granolas wont be joining us - William will be back next Saturday (if you can remember it, he attends on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month). And Dave's Plant Stall is taking a break for a couple of weeks - Dave is planning to be back with seasonal plants from the end of November.

All other stalls due to be with us on Saturday, including the return of our new Firewood stall, all the way from Donegal!

TheWholeHoggs expect to have venison back on Saturday (following lots of great feedback from customers!) and also some more wild game (depending on what is available now that we are in shooting season).

At the Pantry, we've restocked on our Smoked Salmon and Mackerel supplies from Connemara Smokehouse - we reckon we all need the Omega-3 oils to help us get through the Winter...

Cafe fare this Saturday - soup of the day will be a Spicy Parsnip & Celeriac, while the hot dish of the day will be Lamb Tagine.
