Market newsletter 17th May 2012

Busy week this week with the launch of our first Wednesday market, and many thanks to those of our regular customers who came along to support us!

Heres some of Rosies fab leaves at the market yesterday, picked from her fields at 7.30 am!

We hope that many of you will be interested in making it along to us on Wednesdays (12 - 7) in the future, so please let us know if there is anything we should add to our product mix for you. We'll need your help in our word-of-mouth marketing, so any help with getting posters/flyers out there would be much appreciated, and thanks to those of you who have already offered, it will make a big difference to the success of the market.

Stallholder news:

All Stalls are due to be with us this Saturday, so you should be able to get everything you need. But, please check back on Saturday morning on the website for any last minute changes, which as we all know can happen!

Lily Ramirez-Foran and husband Alan will be back on Saturday and do ask them to explain the fabulous ingredients they have for authentic flavours of of Mexican cooking!

Breanndann tells me that his PIZZA SPECIAL this week is going to be honey-roasted ham with caramelised pineapple.

At the Pantry, we will be increasing (again) the amount of Raw Milk, as it is selling out really quickly - and also our organic milk from Ballymore. Kilbeg Dairies have promised me a delivery of all their produce before Saturday morning!

Our wine special this week is our Barbera d'Asti  Sulpiano, 2008 vintage. It has tastes of dark spicy red fruit and fresh acidity - matches pasta, pizza and game beautifully - and the price? Well, it is at the astonishingly great value price of €9.99 (usual price is €14.50, so a real bargain, and it does taste delicious!)

RRP €14.50
Weekend Offer €9.99

Meanwhile, at the  Cafe, where (due to the lousy weather!) we're still doing a soup, albeit a summery  Seafood Chowder, and our hot dish of the day is a slightly spicy Asian Lamb stew (a mild curry in other words!)

Thats it for now! Hope to see you Saturday...
