Honest2Goodness Market Newsletter 5th January 2012

Welcome to the first newsletter of 2012, hope this year brings you happiness and health. We are hoping that we can add a little to both of those in your life through offering you fresh food, good value and a ready smile every time you visit us in Glasnevin/Finglas.

All tied up - With all the high winds, many fishing boats cant get out to sea

So please continue to come to the market - either occasionally or every week, whichever  works best for you, and as word-of-mouth is so important to us, please keep telling your friends and family about us!

Stallholder news

We are expecting most stalls to be back in action on Saturday - however there will be a few gaps - including Sarah Jane and her Old Tart xx Stall, and Laura with Taste with Gusto Italian products. Due to weather conditions Johnny's Fishstall wont know if they will have fish until late tonight (Thursday), so please check back on the website on Friday or Saturday to get the latest update on that.

Confirmed back in action will be Ed Hick, who tells me that they will have Kasseler  - Mild cured, beechwood smoked loin of pork for roasting... sounds great!

Therese & Collette of Harfords Gluten-Free stall will also be back and they will have some GF breads that they have been developing as well as a breakfast bar.

Caryna will be doing a 'free cookie when you buy two brownies' so if you are craving some chocolate, theres a bargain for you!

Meanwhile if you are doing a New Year detox, John at his Tropical Oils Health stall is doing some specials:

Pro-Agri9 Normally €80.00  Now €68.00,   Save 15%

New Year Detox and Rebuild Combination Save 10% :

 Mistify High Anti-Oxidant Drink Usually €45.00  Now : €40.50

Phytolife Nutrient Dense  Drink Usually €30.00. Now   €27.00.

Breanndan will be back with his lovely wood-fired pizza, so you can all get your fix of good pizza again!

Pantry/Wine Stall

We are planning an expansion of our 'storecupboard' area at the market, so please let us know if there are any specialised goods that we can source for you, over and above the existing range - we expect to be placing an order for new stock early next week, so let us know asap! In the meantime, we are short a couple of soft cheeses this Saturday, so bear with us while we restock next week.

Colm is still working on the wine specials this week, but rest assured we know that we need to get some bargain basement wines out there for the cash-strapped month thats in it!

In the cafe on Saturday, the soup of the day is Carrot, ginger & Cumin, and the dish of the day is Hungarian Goulash.

So, something for everyones mood and pocket this Saturday! Hope to see you then...
