Last one-day wine course of 2009. Come and learn all about wine on our very popular one-day course.
We cover all the main elements of tasting wines, learning how they are grown, harvested and transformed into great wines for you to savour.

We will lead you through an exploration of the following areas:
1. Brief overview of winemaking - how it gets into the bottle
2. Major grapes of the world - white (including Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Pinot Gris/Grigio, and other lesser known grape varieties).
3. Major grapes of the world - red (including Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Shiraz, and other lesser known grape varieties),
4. Wine labels and old world classification explained - how to know what grapes are in wine bottles that don't state it!
5. Wine & food matching and wine buying tips.
There will be up to ten tasting wines to sample through the day to help illustrate varieties and types of wines being explained.
